Is my photo artistic? Thinking about going into photography, need some advice?

Me and my friend are taking photography and we took some pics of just us … my brother whos in college thinks the stocking one is artistic but doesnt like me posting it… im kind of an extrovert and dont care and i really want to know if this is artistic or everyone is just saying it to be nice!! i really want to go into photography and want some advice on lighting and cropping

There is nothing whatsoever about those snapshots which is artistic or even good photography.
