what are good places for nature photography in the pacific northwest?

I want to go on a short road trip with my grandma to take pictures but i dont know where to go. I want to go somewhere in the pacific northwest where you can take good pictures. Any Suggestions?

Has to be:
-Easily Accesable
-In the Pacific Northwest (around Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana)

Please answer. I really wanna find a camera for nature photography. One that does well outside.
Taking pictures of flowers and such.
And perhaps one that does well outside at nighttime as well.

Well. It’s more of the lens that matter. This one guy once said to me: "you can buy the best camera in the world, and put crap on the end of it.. and what are you gonna get? CRAP"

Buy macro lens for flowers and such.
Buy telephoto for birds and such.
And with the leftover money, buy a DSLR camera.

I personally use a Canon Rebel XS and I love it, as I’m not one to spend a lot of money on a camera. I got it 2 or 3 years ago *blushes*. You get what you pay for with Canon though!

How would I go about starting a career as a photographer? (Nature photography etc.)?

I’m guessing I would start off by taking pictures and making a portfolio
but then what? where would I go to make my pictures seen?
How do you become a photographer that takes photo’s people hang in their homes?

You have to master all the technicalities of using a camera so using it is second nature, you have to know something about art, but for a wildlife photographer the most important thing you need to know is your subject.

The best place to start is at college (I’m guessing this is not what you wanted to hear), but it will fast track you in the first two and introduce you to the photographic world in your area, if your good it will be recognised. Photography is the easy bit.

The third is up to you, but it’s easier to photograph say Wolves if you know how their pack works, their habitat, what they eat, where and how they find it. It’s not unusual for wildlife photographers to just watch and follow their subject for a couple of years (they will behave differently at different times of the year) before they even get the camera out of the bag. By then they know where to setup to give them the most likely chance to get the shots they want, taking into account where the light is coming from at that time of year, the background, what kind of behaviour to expect etc. etc., in short it’s not easy, if it was anybody could do it.
