So, I have recently decided to put myself out there for photography services for parties/families/pets/children/etc. I have been shooting pictures for over four years now and I have all the equipment and skill to take nice shots. However, I do not want to charge too much and scare people off, especially since I’m new to the business. But, I do not want to rip myself off either, since the editing time takes so long. Any ideas? Thanks! :)

I have a friend that is professional and she gives them a CD with 10 pictures in color and B&W (but always give them some extra, I just say 10 in case it ends up being a really horrible photoshoot) and she started at $50 then a couple months later went to $75, then to $100, and so on. Now she charges $200 so, just go with what you feel like you should do. And the price changes depending on if she is shooting one person, or a family. If its a family she will do one close-up of each kid and a couple family pictures.

Hope that helped, good luck with the Business!
