I’m looking for canon photography camera which you can change the lenses for a reasonable price. But I want it to be good enough quality I could possibly use it for engagement/senior pictures professionally!
what are the main differences in the cameras listed when it comes to quality?

Thoes are called DSLR Cameras.

The Canon Rebels are good beginners DSLR Cameras. So what’s your budget range? Here’s the Rebel xs for about $550: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=139&modelid=17316

And for portrait lens, I would suggest first getting a basic 18-55mm lens, then the "Nifty-fifty" 50mm f/1.8 lens

The main differences are the features, like the number of megapixels, the faster FPS shooting (Frames per second), the Sensor size (full size vs. crop 1.4x), the number of focus points…just to name a few…

cheapest at the top and most expensive (and professional) at the bottom I would say -

    Canon EOS 500D

    Canon EOS 550D

    Canon EOS 7D

Canon EOS 5D mark2 (uses professional lenses designed for full frame sensor cameras)

I would recommend either of the top two

The main differences are in terms of resolution (which affects image quality when the photo enlarged), the size of the viewing screen on the back of the camera and the build quality of the camera.
The 5D mark 2 is a genuinely professional camera capable of very impressive results – although it’s probably more than you are willing to pay.

The 500D is very good quality and will give you good results. My advice is to pick up and examine both the 500D and the 550D and see which you prefer.

I have the Canon 450D/XSi and it’s a great camera! You have to learn to use it to get good results, but for the price the image quality is excellent! Besides the lens that comes with the camera (EF-S 18-55m) a 50mm lens is worth buying (EF 50mm f/1.8 or EF 50mm f/1.4, depending on your budget).
