What do you think of my photos?

I am just starting out in portrait/family photography. Just looking for some info on what others think.

To be honest, I like a lot of these photos. The fact you took the time to do some shots that aren’t simply just "look into the camera and smile!" shots is very telling about your future success in photography

That being said, every photographer I have ever met wants to hear some healthy criticism of their work. A few shots were simply Blaise for the interesting layout you have on your page. When you showcase your photography you want to show the best of your shots, not hundreds of shots with a couple good ones thrown in.

I think your site would be much improved and everyone would be even more impressed if you trimmed a third of the photos off the site and kept with your interesting, non-staged and "oh man, this happened and I managed to get a perfect picture of it!" picture. Those shots are where your work really shines, baseball pictures and a couple unsmiling mugshots could be taken off and no one would know the difference!
