I applied there today and I work for Candid Color Photography who’s lab prints up Glamour Shots stuff and I use a Nikon D70 and I own a Nikon D80, the guy said he does not know what kind of cameras they use but they are not Nikon’s which makes me nervous they are crappy bottom line cameras. Anyone know, I am picky about cameras I am assigned, I know I am weird
If the camera does the job then it is the camera for the job. Its not so much the camera, its more the person using the camera. If you do not feel comfortable with many different types of cameras. then maybe photography is not the best job for you. besides most lower end studios use stationary film cameras.

A colleague and I shoot fashion and glamour using D300’s with 24-70 mm f/2.8 lenses. Another colleague uses a D70 with the same lens and picked it because the flash sync on the D70 is over 1/250th of a second. The D70 sync works perfectly all the way up to 1/8,000th when used with any external flash, due to the D70’s electronic shutter. 1/500th using the onboard flash. This allows him to shoot outdoors in bright sun and use flash fill in action photos (like the model jumping for the shot)
