okay so im doing a writing with light picture for photography and i borrowed this camera and i have NO idea how to get the shutter speed longer so the lens stays open for a longer amount of time so the light i write shows up..the camera is a canon powershot sd750

can you please help meeeee..thankkss :)

Hello. I tried that a few weeks ago, it went pretty well for me.

1.I started by closing all my curtains and doors so it was pretty dark. I took it at about 6 o’clock (pm)
2.Then I turned of the flash on my camera.
3.Once you’ve done that you can try to see if the shutter speed is much slower because it needs a longer time to take in all the light it can find. If the shutter speed stays the same, i’m not sure what else to do unless you change the settings on your camera to something else.
4. I used a glow stick for mine, you could use a torch. A glow stick gives out less light so the shutter speed might be slower.
5. Set the camera up and as soon as you click the button start drawing.
6. Once the pictures taken, have a look and see if you need to change anything!

Good luck! I hope I helped!
