part 1 Set up
In this video i show you the effects of increasing the flash power and how that affects the image but also how it is different on different cameras.
the two cameras used are the nikon d300 and the fuji s5 pro which have different dynamic ranges in their sensors. this will help show you.

That’s really interesting. After seeing on one of Dom’s previous videos how clever Fuji’s sensors are, I’l have to keep an eye on their upcoming bodies.
I’m also eyeing Sony’s Alpha 900, though I have quite an investment in Nikon lenses and speedlights already, so a D700 may be the smarter way to go for me.

let’s me change the brightness and do some color changes, but most of the special effects don’t work at all. So I end up doing 8-bit TIFF most of the time. I don’t know why it limits 16-bit pics, but this seems arbitrary.

@archedmandible Yup, it’s basically a Nikon D200 with a Fuji sensor and a few minor changes. Crosslicensing of technology is a powerful business strategy, and the Japanese excel at it!
