I’m on a very limited budget! The choices are overwhelming. I have decided on strobe lighting, but unsure of different power levels. I have a konica minolta z6 digital camera.

There are lots of places on the web you can try. For instance the people at photoflex.com have a free school section. They offer some cool things for free and you can also sign up at cost for additional lessons.

You can also try the folks at Digital Photography Review for help with specific answers or you can browse their forums (http://www.dpreview.com/forums/ ) for reading previous questions and answers.

Also pay a visit to your local bookstore like Barnes & Noble or Borders. Generally they can help you.

Also try meetup.com and join a photography group in your area and learn from peers.
Best of luck to you.

You are in the same boat as I once was. What I did was I went down to my local library and checked out books on lighting. It took a few weekends to get the hang of things but overall it worked out. As you know, the best thing about digital is it cost you nothing to view the test pics. The library was a good cheap resource for me, I hope it works out for you as well. Good Luck.
