Ok, I just took up the hobby of photography and I was wondering what are some free or trial software that I can use to edit, enhance, change, distort, or in some other way visually modify the photos?

They are all in JPEG format, and if it is possible a small tutorial would be helpful.

Thanks.

I think you should try out GIMP. It’s pretty easy to use once you know where everything is.

picase if you are really lazy
or gimp (my personal favourite) if you want to get more out of it. also has a bunch of plugins available for even more functions.

both are absolutely free of charge.

Photoshop. http://www.adobe.com. It is what the pros use. Also, keep this in mind- if the photo doesn’t look good WITHOUT the editing, you are most likely not going to be able to fix it WITH the editing. Hope this helps you.
